About Me
Hi, let me introduce myself. My name is Patricia and I have been a Permanent Cosmetic Professional since 2001. I recently became an approved Trainer Member with the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals. Let me share with you how I got started in permanent makeup (“PMU”) (also known as permanent cosmetics and/or micropigmentation). In the Fall of 2000, I met up with a friend who had PMU applied. I took a good look at her face and I liked what I saw A LOT! I knew RIGHT THEN I wanted it. I hadn’t been able to properly place eyeliner on my eyes for a number of years and my brows always ended up on my forehead or nose! I had PMU applied in early 2001 and I loved it! I know it is the best thing I ever did for myself. I also knew I wanted to learn this trade and help others save time and money being beautiful naturally and with minimum effort! In June 2001, I completed my training with an approved trainer of the SPCP and American Academy of Micropigmentation, both nonprofit organizations, and I have been a member of each organization since I became a PMU Tech in 2001. I enjoy it very much. I’m also a Certified Permanent Cosmetics Professional with the SPCP. While being certified isn’t required to perform PMU in most states, being certified shows that I’ve gone that extra mile with my profession, attending conventions and continuing education classes regularly, attending Bloodborne pathogen class at least every other year. My permanent makeup training includes all aspects of needle know-how (I use single use needles and discard them after each procedure), color theory, sterilization, sanitation, anesthetics, history of permanent makeup (of which I had an article published in both the Macomb County Chamber of Commerce newsletter and the Detroit News), equipment usage, pigment analysis and much training on live models. I attend continuing education classes and advanced training and attend seminars just about every year to further my education and experience. My main salon is Images on Mack, 20551 Mack Avenue, three blocks south of Vernier (on the west side) in Grosse Pointe Woods. I work by appointment out of Images on Mack and salons located in Algonac, Richmond and St. Clair. I’m licensed by the Wayne County Health Department and I am in compliance with all laws promulgated by it. You can view my Wayne County Heath Department License at my GPW salon and my training and membership certificates in the link “Beware” at the top of my homepage. These certificates include my training in Permanent Cosmetics, advanced and continuing education training certificates that I have earned and also my current membership certificates for the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals and the American Academy of Micropigmentation. I take my business very seriously and I love it! Please come in for a free consultation, browse my portfolios and let me take a good look at your natural beauty and how we can emphasize it and save you time!
