About Me
Hi,
my name is Patricia and I am a Certified Permanent Cosmetic Professional/Trainer
Member with The Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals.
I am the owner of Facial Art Permanent Cosmetics, specializing in
eyeliner, eyebrows and full lipcolor, beauty marks and areola tattooing.
I have been a licensed technician since 2001 and have been a member in
good standing with The Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals and The
American Academy of Micropigmentation since 2001.
I
had permanent cosmetics applied in early 2001 and it is the best thing I ever
did for myself. I trained that same
year in June (2001) at Facial Expressions and then opened up for business.
While being certified isn’t required to perform permanent cosmetics in
most states, being certified shows that I’ve gone that extra ten miles with my
profession, attending conventions and continuing education classes regularly and
attending a Bloodborne Pathogen Class at least every other year.
My permanent cosmetics training includes all aspects of needle know-how
(I use single use needles, discarding them after each procedure), color theory
and correction, sterilization, sanitation, anesthetics, the history of permanent
makeup (of which I had an article published in both the Macomb County Chamber of
Commerce newsletter and the Detroit News), equipment usage, etc. I
am licensed with the Macomb County Health Department and registered with the
State of Michigan as a “waste generator” facility.
