bulletWhat exactly is permanent cosmetic makeup?
bulletPermanent cosmetic makeup is a state-of-the-art form of cosmetic tattooing.  The cosmetic implantation technique deposits tiny individual particles of pigment into the dermal layer of the skin.

bulletIs it really permanent?
bulletTechnically, permanent makeup procedures are considered permanent because colored pigment is inserted into the dermal layer of the skin and cannot be washed off.  Depending on individual care of cosmetic tattoo, fading may occur, tattoo may lighten and a touchup will be required.

bulletIs it expensive?
bulletNo. It will save you time and money every day!  We all live such very busy lives and time wasted applying makeup is time you could be doing much more enjoyable activities.  PMU costs approximately a one year cosmetic bill.  It’s worth every penny to make the most of your natural beauty!

bulletWho benefits from permanent cosmetic makeup?
bulletPlease see the Home Page.

bulletDoes it look natural?
bulletYes, very natural.  Your friends will never know what the difference is in your appearance unless you tell them.  Your features will be more defined and lovely.

bulletIs it safe?
bulletIt is completely safe providing proper sterilization and sanitary guidelines are met and you follow all procedure aftercare guidelines given to you by the PMU professional.

bulletIs it painful?
bulletTopical anesthetics are used prior to and during your procedure to minimize any discomfort.

bulletHow long does it take?
bulletTypically, a procedure will take a minimum of an hour and a half to two hours.  This process includes forms to be filled out, the waiting period for the anesthetic, the actual procedure, and time for questions and answers after the completion of the procedure.

bulletWill I need to take time off of work?
bulletNo, there is minimum swelling and redness.  Ice is used to reduce swelling and vaseline is used for 4-7 days.  I've had clients come early in the morning and they return to work that afternoon.

bulletAre there any special precautions I should take prior to and after the procedure?
bulletPlease see the Procedure Information page for specifics.

bulletAre there any after or side effects?
bullet

There may be a slight swelling of the procedure area which may last from 2-6 hours.  The color is much darker for the first 2-3 days, but as the area heals, the color becomes softer and lighter.

bulletIs there any possibility for medical problems?
bulletThe possibility that you would have any problems or reactions from these procedures is almost nonexistent with today's health standards.  Post procedure instructions, if followed carefully, will completely eliminate any risk.
